View Full Version : The Best Game for OSX

City of Glass
May 3, 2003, 05:21 AM
Evening, folks:

Tell me -- what is the absolute greatest game ever conceived for Macintosh Operating System "X" Jaguar?

If you are capable of delivering a satisfactory reply to the above, perhaps you will then be able to answer: where does one get this oft dreamt-of game?

DOOM III, anyone?

Achaea. It's a MUD. It will run on any computer with a mud client or java capabilities.

If you donno what a MUD it, its still the best form of MMORPGs in existance, by far.

www.achaea.com

use Rapscallion as your client.

www.rapscallion.co.uk

or Cantrip if you can't stand Classic

I bought the Warcraft III because it has been widely recommended by this site. I wanted a game that I can use with my new 17PB and take advantage of the NVIDIA graphics card. I will admit, the 3D graphics is great, but I just could not get into the game. What is the BIG deal about it?

I'm used to playing RPG's so I've really enjoyed Baldur's Gate II and Icewind Dale. I've also been dabbling with Civilization III because it was highly recommended by this site. I guess I have to 'reeducate" myself into 'Real Time Stragey" game as oppose to RPG's. Any feedbacks are welcome!:)

I agree. Well, I like StarCraft better, but most
people like Warcraft better, so I guess I'm
just strange. Starcraft and Warcraft are great
games. :)

I liked starcraft better, I guess I dont have the time to get into WCIII like I did with starcraft, World Of Warcraft will rock. I did like starcraft better but warcraft has a much better story in my opinion.

That is much the same way as I feel.
I tried out WCIII for a while, but didn't
want to spend the time learning the
races, etc. I already did that with SC. ;)

I think pop-pop is the coolest game for OS X, small and super fun!

Hmm I would have to say Unreal Tournament 2003, even though I have just played the demo it is an excellent game.

Does anyone know if Command & Conquer Generals will come to the Mac? I really hope they port it, it looks like a sweet game. Maybe we should start a petition...? ;)

I loved the feel of Aliens vs Predator, but it wasn't all that as a whole game, I keep coming back to Quake 3, there's little as satisfying as blowing the gibs out of some poor bas*ard with a rail-gun whilst performing a back flip off a launching ramp:D :D

I like the Myth series a lot, and Myst 3 was fun while it lasted.

i love starcraft as even today people play. you can be on the brink of death and come back to kill.... but that is not the game of my favor..... fallout and fallout 2... how many games puts you in a nukular waste land and you get to kill everyone in town too... woohooo

Myth II: Soulblighter. I've wasted more hours playing that game than I care to remember. And now that there is an OS X version available....oh man, I'm NEVER gonna get any work done.

Man, WWII titans for myth 2 on a multiplayer network. There is nothing better.

Well, warcraft is brilliant too.
