Unable to purchase music off iTunes

"iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. An unknown error occurred(-9813)."

Any time I try to add music to my shopping cart I receive the message above. This has been occurring ever since I installed the updates for iTunes, which was a long time ago. Can someone please help me??? I'm desperate for new music!
 
Have you tried logging out of your account, shutting itunes down and logging back in...give it a try if you haven't🙂

Check you are in the right store too as one of the updates made everyones store default elsewhere. i.e. US opened up into the Aussie store but because they both have $ its not obvious at first.
