Not a tribute to Internet predators everywhere, but instead...
I noticed about 10 minutes ago how unusually Americanish I'm dressed today. Nike plimsols, Levi jeans, Calvin Klein underwear and even a big Mickey Mouse on my T-shirt. The socks at least are from British Home Stores, so it's not a total loss. :D
However, it has got me thinking. How much have big American brands, not including Apple Computers, infiltrated our lives? What do you have on, and what is technically* the country of origin?
*yeah, they are probably all made in China, but you get the idea ;)

Let's have a look...
Jeans – from Next – a British company I believe, but actually made in Turkey.
Shirt – I've still got my Diadora (Italian) Hull City home shirt on after the game, made in Romania of all places. Still, I suppose it's the closest a City shirt is going to get to Europe for the time being. :p
Socks – generic black socks, could be from anywhere.
Underwear – Next boxers, but I'd have to take them off to read the label and I'm not getting semi-nekkid™ for you, young man. :p ;) I can imagine them being made somewhere in Eastern Europe, though.
Slippers – they have the England football team crest on, proving how patriotically dressed I am. Made in... oh, hang on... China. :o

A River Island brown v neck jumper — UK?.
A grey "Drop Shadows Not Bombs" t-shirt, printed in the US.
An H&M turquoise vest — Sweden.
A bra of dubious origins (cut out the scratchy label), but probably M&S — UK.
H&M jeans — Sweden.
Sloggi knickers — US, I assume?
Aberdeen football socks (don't ask!) — UK
Was also wearing Birkensock shoes earlier (Germany), but now have my feet up on the sofa. :D
Interesting idea for a thread — I'm actually surprised I don't have that many American brands on, to be honest.

He's gotta feel comfortable. The NB 990 Series have been a great trainer shoe. I've worn them since the 990 was first introduced back in '79 when I broke in to marathoning. They went all the way up to 999 before bringing back the 991 as the classic NB trainer in '99. Sorry for all the 9s. :o

I work at Wal-Mart and so it is easy to buy clothes there and plus my discount.
The shirt is a blue Faded Glory shirt (since I have to work tonight and our dress code is blue shirt and khaki pants). The khaki pants are either Puritan or George (Wal-Mart Brands). I only buy black socks, and for the past year I have been buying the Puritan socks from Wal-Mart. The boxers are also Puritan brand. My Watch is a Casio wave cepter purchases on clearance from Wal-Mart.
In fact the pen in my shirt, the the wallet in my pants pocket, both came from Wal-Mart. My last pair of glasses were from Wal-Mart the current pair is not.
So I will say it again, Wal-Mart is taking over the world and good or bad I shop there (A LOT) and have worked there for two years part time (while doing things that I actually enjoy at the same time).
