been scouring posts for whole day and couldn't really find explicit answers. so, let me shoot
i own a macbook 1.83. and i want to get myself 2gb of ram. the question is what brand should i get? Crucial seems to sound the most popular. What about kingston? some posts seem to have a problem with kingmax.
so, any advice?

Nothing wrong with either AFAIK, just don't buy on eBay as they sell crap RAM.

most companies get the ram from the same manufacturers, and then redistribute it under their own brands
Virtually all the RAM out there comes from Kingston, Samsung, and Toshiba.
Crucial sells high quality RAM so it's more likely to work fine, but Kingmax resells the cheap stuff (that's why people have more problems with it)
