I'm a newbie to the Mac World and a little light on 3rd party software. In the Windows environment I used a card reader to view jpegs in ACDsee without importing or ingesting them. Does anyone know of a good quick application for the Mac that I can use to view photos quickly without importing them into iPhoto or other aplications. iPhoto wants to load or ingest them but I want to view them from the card reader first, delete the rejects and then import the keepers.

Thanks in advance for any advice,

Jay

Another reason why I love Google's Picasa2 photo software on Win... I really wish they'd release it for Mac.

Of course, the old fashioned way could work. Just open the card in Finder, which should just look like another drive. Review the pics in Finder, and select/drag the ones you want over to your photo folder. Then if necessary, import them into iPhoto.
