The Rogue Amoeba folks need to do a better job of explaining the point of this program. Why would there be a need for filters in a lossless editor? (For the comprehension-challenged, the reviewer asks for this feature, it isn't in the product.)

I love Fission - I've purchased it and use it regularly to clean up all the audio I import from all kinds of oddball formats into Apple Lossless so iTunes can play and organize it.

As far as I am aware, this is the reasoning behind the lack of filters in Fission: The editor is lossless. Filters are lossy by nature. Therefore, a version of Fission with filters couldn't be called lossless anymore.
