View Full Version : Has anyone had a RAM upgrade done at an Apple store before?

Im just curious how much all together(for labor and parts) a 1GB RAM install costs.

I tried installing a third party stick myself but one of the screws was stripped during my attempt and I believe it has been glued in.

Thanks for any info/help

Those are the Apple RAM prices. (for MBP)

If there are glued in screws, you might have problems getting it upgraded.

thanks. i wont bother then. ill just see if i can get the screw out myself somehow or live without the extra GB. $175 plus install is way more than the slight speed increase is worth.

For now anyways. I thought that for the longest time, but eventully I broke down and put another gb in my mini.

theres always a chance of convincing my parents it will make a great 20th bday present but i doubt it.

Maybe you can sucker them into it, it really does make a big difference.
