"There's no place like home for the holidays". So goes the song. However pleasant your holiday gatherings are and will be, there's bound to be some stress attached to it all. What are your ideas for lowering or managing your stress levels this holiday? Are there certain things or people you'll be with which will require some strategizing in order to manage your holiday stress levels?

Plan some relax time for every day, hot bubble bath, read, no phone calls, mindless TV (ER reruns if it's good), good music, petting the cats, baking cookies and pies. I love baking but only for fun. A massage, manicure or a good lie down on the sofa.

Get some exercise
Stay on your normal schedule (Sleeping and eating) as much as possible
Take some time off work
Find an old friend you haven't talked to in ages!

Any stress I have is related to my family. If I avoided them.. I could be stress free. 😛 However you only get one family so I make an effort to be nice and polite when what I really want to do is strangle someone.
