Not exactly Apple related, but it is Steve.:)

Buying Pixar was a good move, even if the results weren't what he intended them to be.

It was one of the ending rainbow scenes. Every Disney film after The Little Mermaid did not use traditionally inked and painted cels and instead used digital coloring.

Wikipedia spells out the whole system in more detail. It's called CAPS, by the way - Computer Animation Production System.

I don't believe this is used anymore since Disney is not doing traditional hand-drawn animated features right now. Hopefully Pixar's influence will bring that back, now that their people are running the animation side of the business. (2D animation rules. :) )

Actually there was an announcement the other day that Disney is returning to hand drawn animation and leaving the computer animation to Pixar.
