Is it just me or is this paragraph extremely confusing:
Dell was stronger with laptop PC buyers, garnering 47% of likely buyers in the product category. HP was slightly stronger with desktop buyers, at 15% across its two brands. Apple was stronger with notebook PC buyers, with 15% picking Macs.

(Emphasis added for... umm... emphasis)

That is confusing! I think they mean whether each brand individually had stronger responses from potential notebook buyers or potential desktop buyers. So Dell and Apple both had stronger shares of the notebook buyer interest pool than they did of the desktop buyer pool, and HP was the other way around?

Ahhh the general public. They would rather burn a pile of a couple hundred dollars on a Dell PC that they might get two years out of then spend twice that and get a computer that will still be viable in 5 years or more. I say that cause my sawtooth will run tiger at a reasonable clip with only a GPU upgrade, and for web browsing, and word processing, the tasks most undertaken by novice PC users, the experience is almost indistinguishable from my Mac Pro.
