So I got that Vision Camera for the Xbox 360 - was curious - how do I use it to take my personal photo for my gamer icon?.....

sorry if this is a "newb" question haha

1. Connect camera to 360.
2. On the main blade, select your gamertag (press A).
3. Edit Gamer Profile.

You should now see an option to take a personal picture. Note that only people on your Friends List will see this... everyone else will see your usual gamer picture (which you can also set as you did before).

Is the light on the camera on? Is the camera plugged in to the 360? Is your 360 connected to the Internet so that it can download updates as necessary? (When the camera was released, a dashboard update was necessary in order for the camera to actually work. Xbox 360 not on Internet = maybe no camera support installed yet.)

i got another question though....

when i first got the xbox i made a profile on it...and have since got a pretty decent gamerscore and stuff...

however,

i cant seem to get that to transfer to my xbox live profile? i had a windows live id so it said the username was unavailable....

is there a way to transfer my stuff to the live profile or am i out of luck?

is there a way to transfer my stuff to the live profile or am i out of luck? Not really. The achievements and such are associated with a particular Xbox Live account (which has a unique GUID-like name, in addition to the gamertag), and can't be transferred. Now, you can get the account RENAMED (at a cost of 800 Microsoft Points) to any name you like (as long as it's available), and your achievements and such will remain with the renamed account.
