airport dies help

i was given a airport the original one because it would drop out for a few seconds killing any games or downloads ect.
it still does it and im not sure what the problem is
any ideas

Have you tried updating the card and what type of mac did you put this airport card in....can we have the specs please?

Are we talking about the card or the base station? Yeah, more specific details would definitely help. 🙂

Mate, maybe give us a few more details. Your post is a bit vague. 😱

In the meantime, you can test whether it's the router or the internet connection dropping out by using the wireless network to transfer a large file between machines. If you get a constant stream, then you know something's up with the 'net. 🙂

If this isn't the case, then check for interference from devices such as microwaves, other routers, cordless phones and so on. 😎
