mad jew Moderator emeritus Dec 25, 2006 #2 It's usually caused by a corrupt cache. Head to the Cache folder on your Home Library and find the file named com.apple.preferencepanes.cache. When System Preferences is closed, drag this file to the Trash and then reopen System Preferences. 🙂
