Could people give me feedback on my photos of Southampton Common. I Photoshoped some photos I took to enhance their quality, but would like peoples comments.

Nice, but all your black and white shots are grey, not black and white.

That's not what I mean... what I mean is that they are very grey. There is not a lot of white and there is almost no black. It makes the photos very boring and flat with no detail.

What monitor do you have?

A 19" Sony G420. And because you asked, I had a look at the photos on my 22" cinema display too, and same thing.

It must be a preference thing.

Once I edited the photos, I asked one of my housemates to look at them and he also thought it was fine.

It is how I like them....also, I ran auto levels and auto contrast in photoshop that ensures the complete range black to white...so the detail is there.

If you wouldn't mind could you email me the photos with your adjustments

just bring them into photshop again and re calibrate umm. no problem. other than that your site looks good. good luck!:)
