It must be a preference thing.
Once I edited the photos, I asked one of my housemates to look at them and he also thought it was fine.
It is how I like them....also, I ran auto levels and auto contrast in photoshop that ensures the complete range black to white...so the detail is there.
If you wouldn't mind could you email me the photos with your adjustments

just bring them into photshop again and re calibrate umm. no problem. other than that your site looks good. good luck!
