I recently recieved an Ipod Shuffle and I noticed that when I turned on my 15 in powerbook g4 with the ipod shuffle connected via included dock and then tried to run iTunes it would take itunes a fully 1 + minute to start up. I tried many different things to try to fix this problem and finally I was so frustrated I backed up my music, pictures, and documents to an external harddrive, reformated my powerbook, installed a fresh copy of os 10.4 ran software update and got everything updated(including itunes) import 1 song from a cd into itunes, plug in the shuffle set it up with itunes to copy the one song disconnect the shuffle... reconnect the shuffle.. and turn off the computer with the shuffle connected... turn the computer back on.. try to open itunes... Same problem takes itunes a full 1 minute + to open. I am going to go to the apple store tomorrow to hopefully find out if its my shuffle? or if this is a bug..... any thoughts? reformatting and installing itunes fresh is this enough to rule out it is nothing more then a bug? also anyone else having this issue?

Ive posted in these two similiar threads as well
