Got some Creature II speakers...can i exchange them without receipt?

Hey,
Someone got these for me for the holidays, and they got black ones.. which is fine and i don't really care that much. But i think the aluminum would match better with my powerbook, do you think apple would exchange these if i went in and explained to them the situation?

i could ask the person for the recepit but i think that's sort of rude, and it's not worth the hassle imo! so i was wondering if apple would just let me do it...

CLIFFS: would apple let me exchange the black creature II's for silver ones if there is no recipt?

i know, i figure i would give them a call, but wanted to know if anyone has been in a similar situation... didn't want to call them and sound stupid. :o

i would see if apple would first...and if they need a recipt ask them if they can jst have a code instead...it should work the same...IDN...i do agree w/ the difference of color though...
