Hi everybody, I have a question
I dont know, this may have been descussed somewhere, but I could not find any relevant threads.

My question is: How can I configure the samba server which runs under service-alias "Windows file sharing" in osx? The thing is that I want all users coming via samba to be directed to the root instead of the specific user's home dir.

Does anybody know how I can accomplish that? I would appreciate any help.

Tried Webmin? (http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/unix_open_source/webmin.html)

You can do alot of configuring with this.

you could just create a new users called.. lets say .. samba... then give that user the home directory of root. Then just make all users come in as samba

You would have to eddit the smb.conf file if you want to do it the other way
