I have a question I have a Apple 20" display with a DVI-D Male Plug and I have a Gateway Laptop PC with a Female VGA plug on it.What I want to do is find a adapter where I can run my Gateway laptop on the Apple 20" flat panel display.
Is there any way possible, I heard you cant but is there a part# and a online place where I can purchase one of these any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's the opposite of what he needs.
I don't have an Apple Cinema Display, but I thought that they had DVI-I connectors. Doesn't this mean that the displays can accept an analog signal? If so, you'll be able to get away with a cheap VGA-to-DVI-I adapter. But if they require a digital signal, you would need an external box to convert the analog VGA signal to a digital DVI signal, and such boxes run about $300.
Hopefully someone can clarify the required input for the displays.
