this is a great way for those who do video editing or audio work on a G3 or G4 tower to add a second dedicated SATA drive.

OR you can do like I did and use it to control your primary boot drive and get a faster drive for better overall performance.

This is a pretty nice card, and that's a great price. I have the IDE version of it in my PowerMac G4, and couldn't recommend this enough. The computer sees them as regular drives, I can bypass the 128GB drive size limit, and it's really fast.

If I weren't flat broke, I'd snap this up in a heartbeat! You interested in any trades or anything of that nature?

dang it, I just recently got a SIIG SATA controller from OWC for about that same price. It is a 4 port card, and works really great in my QS! :apple:
And yea, I had a Tempo card in my B&W too, notta problemo.......

I've been thinking about getting this card as well for my Quicksilver 933.

Thanks for the feedback.

sushi & fizikci.........

If you couple this card w/ a 10K Raptor, you will be amazed at the speed increase in your G4's. But even with 7200prm drives it will still be way faster than PATA set-ups :p

Would you consider a trade? I have lots of vintage and retro Mac parts and pretty much any :apple: stuff!

Thanks for the suggestion. :)

Right now between my PCs and Macs, I am sort of stuck in the world of IDE (PATA). Too much invested to change right now. But I will keep it in mind for in the future.
