As the title says, I'm looking for a windows desktop (p3 or newer in age) and flat panel display - either together or separate - for a total of around $200 shipped to Vermont. Looks like I can put something together from ebay for $160-$190, but I'd rather buy from fellow members (and have the fees go into a member's pocket, rather than ebay).

Does not need to be cosmetically perfect. The more ram and upgraded the optical drive is the better, but I'm happy to consider everything.

Check your closets and computer piles and let me know what you can spare.

Please post or PM your offers.

Thanks!

I'll see what I have, I mainly have parts though.

I also have a 512MB SODIMM for an iBook G3.

Please help me get rid of it. Its worth 120 on Crucial, but I'll let it go for 85 shipped via MO.

IDK if I want to sell it...depends on how much I could get for it.

Dell Optiplex GX150 P3.

All I know is that is was salvaged from a hospital when they upgraded. It has a CDROM drive...and a 40GB Hd.

Not sure if it's FS yet though. It's my dad's but he's getting an upgrade as well in a few days, and I don't know what he plans on doing with it.

I'd love to help you out, but those bad boys are going for $50-$60 on ebay. If you need batteries for the ibook in your sig I'd be happy to consider a trade for it.

I am interested in this one, especially with the upgradability. What size ibook do you have - 14 or 12?

I have a basically new BenQ 20" widescreen lcd. It has both vga and dvi ports. The model number is FP202W. The retail price is over $300 and they go for around $250ish plus shipping on ebay. I can do $255 shipped for it. I have the box and manuals as well.

I love this forum :p

I've got a couple of 12" batteries in the 90+% of original charge capacity. Want to trade straight up one-for-one on the RAM?

I'll have to think about it, as I could much rather use the cash, since the iBook atm is being used by my mom hooked up to its charger.

or an even stranger item to offer...

how about a ibm netvista x40 all in one thingy. specs/info found HERE (ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/pc/pccbbs/netvista/2179tim.pdf) (warning, big .pdf)

p3@1.0ghz, 1x256mb pc133, 40gb wd400eb hard drive, cd-rom, floppy, onboard speakers, nic, sound, usb, 2 x pci slots free (low profile), 15" TFT monitor @ 1024 x 768. onboard video/chipset is SiS630, and can share up to 64mb, max ram is 512mb (2 x 256). screen has one pressure mark on the right side that can only be seen with a dark background but otherwise good shape. case is in great shape, runs well, is fairly quiet, and is easy to move around with the handle in the back. cd-rom is slim, but standard atapi, and could be replaced/upgraded with any black bezel slim optical drive. no os loaded, but does have the original windows 2000 coa on the bottom of the unit, and i will include a w2k cd with sp4 slipstreamed in, drivers can be downloaded from lenovo. i have been running linux on it, and it works very well. it's no imac, but it is better than most pc AIOs that i have seen...

65146

how about $175 shipped to you ground? went for $1800 new... talk about retaining value

4JNA - nifty stuff! On the first post, I need it to be in a box (details, details :p ). On the second post, I personally like the no-non-usb ports of the ibm, but they've got a older printers, so I have to get something with a parallel port...

No problem! LMK if you get to a point where you want to do the trade - seem like I always have at least one floating around.

The person I was buying this for (a dear friend who is trying my patience!) has decided they want a P4 (or similar era). So... I'm starting a clean thread. Everyone who has posted and who I've chatted with, we're starting over and I apologize!
