edesignuk has been busy lately, but is still around.

I know people come and go from the forums without much notice, and no member owes us a goodbye - but when you have 12,000+ posts, we tend to notice them and look forward to posts/threads by them. Then one day, they decide that they will no longer be part of this community and it leaves people to wonder what happened to them. Maybe iGary and other top posters just think their "friends" will miss them if they disappear and its none of our business (which its not)... I just think it would be a courtesy to say a quick goodbye so it doesn't leave people wondering.

I hope iGary is doing well and I'll miss his threads and posts here. If he has a problem with his mac, he knows where to find us. :)

My reasoning is that this thread here only constitutes hearsay evidence, and that bous is just continuing that-rumor speculation- in another thread (not that I find fault in his closes the thread for inactivity, but saying iGary is working for Apple as the reason for closing the thread is *wrong* IMHO.

My evidence, circumstantial it is true, but just as good as anything I've seen here on MR. If there is some irrefutable evidence I missed please point me to a link.

I found the service manual for earlier models, but I have had no luck googling for this manual or any place with the procedure.

Notice, that iGary is asking for a manual to help replace a PSU on a water cooled G5, and he supposedly works for Apple and can't get that info from Apple such that he has to post on Apple's support forums. I dunno about you, but that doesn't sound like someone who's working for Apple.

And I also don't see why he wouldn't be posting on MR either (unless there is a specific prohibition in the employment contract...posting on MR shouldn't be a problem, posting new Apple rumors would, but just posting on MR shouldn't be as long as no proprietary info is coming from him, and he is not confirming any leaked info), even if he is working for Apple, which hasn't been confirmed from a reliable source, IMO.
