Hello everyone.
I am looking for a G4 Laptop. Here are the target stats:
800+ mHz G4
512+ MB RAM
30+ GB HD
2 hrs+ on the battery
Optimally, the price should be about $400ish shipped. I do not really care if it is a 12" iBook, 14" iBook, a 12" Aluminum PowerBook, a 15" Titanium PowerBook, or an upgraded Pismo (if there are upgrades that will make them go that fast.) I suppose I can compromise on the stats if the price is right. I can pay over PayPal.
Thanks!

Great iBook. The only thing is... I really need 512 MB RAM. Any chance you can bump it? Otherwise, I'll have to hold out for something with 512. Thanks.

Sounds good. Two things, though:
Does it have an airport card?
What sort of CD drive is there?

Excellent! Just wondering how much your total asking price (shipped) is and where to send the $ over PayPal (or another payment method?)

There was an issue with the iBook's AirPort, so I am returning it to classof2011. This member handled the dispute quickly and properly, so I would recommend them as a seller: they are very responsible, a fact that would make me more than willing to buy from them again if such an opportunity presents itself.
Regardless, I reopen this thread for offers. (techound1's laptop is still in consideration.)

If the issue is with airport range you may want to make sure the antenna is plugged in all the way. Sometimes on the iBooks they don't snap into the card without some effort and you may be sending it back for no reason. Just trying to save you some time. :)

Thanks, Lucky736. However, the issue was that the wire connecting the internal AirPort antenna and the AirPort Extreme card was severed. The Apple Genius said the repair would cost upwards of $200.

i have a g4 titanium powerbook, 1Ghz, 1GB RAM, 60GB HD, 2 batteries, original packaging + disks, with minor cosmetic damage that works perfectly (other than a twitchy DVI port). let me know if you are interested.

Thanks! I think what I may do now is take it the nearest Apple Store, have them identify and resolve all issues, then eBay it. Or, if I'm a "regular" by then, I could put it up for sale here. But only when it's ready ;) . BTW, when are you shipping it back? When you do, can I have a tracking number?

I shipped it back today. For clarification's sake, the crack that I found was on the plastic casing next to the screen, not on the screen.

Will you be willing to pay a bit more than your original number if an iBook is under AppleCare?

Perhaps. How much is "a bit more" and what sort of laptop is it?

I have exactly what you need, though the LCD has a problem.
It works fine with the included mini DVI - VGA adapter...
but the LCD is dim, i think its the backlight inverter.
but if you NEED portability, youd have to get it fixed.

This is 12" 1.2GHz model with 1.25GB SDRAM and 30GB hard drive. It has airport and purchased in May 2005, with AppleCare. Very snappy and works as a charm. Never been my primary machine, so has not seen any abuse or taxing usage.
The only issues are that one rubber foot was missing out of box and the tip of the charging cable is a bit bent (not on the iBook, on the cable). Battery went through both recalls, so the current battery is good a new.
This is feeler only and curious what your offer would be.

First, sorry for my unresponsiveness. I have been out of town.
Sdashiki, I don't think I can use an iBook with a broken LCD. Perhaps if you get this fixed...
The Past, I'm afraid your iBook is most likely out of my price range. Sorry.
I'm still taking offers, everyone.
