Hey guys. I think I used File Buddy a few months ago so I could veiw hidden files.
I want to change it where files are now hidden again so everything does not look so sloppy.
I forgot how to make things hidden and unhidden, so I need your help.
Here is a screen shot of my iPhoto Library:

You can use just about any of those File Buddy-like tweaking apps (I like TinkerTool) to show and hide hidden files.
But the files you show in your screenshot are not supposed to be hidden files...I have similar ones plainly visible in my iPhoto Library folder.

Any way to clean up all those files? Or do they have to be like that?

I'd think they have to be like that...otherwise iPhoto won't know what it's supposed to do with itself. :)

I did the same thing -- has anyone figured out how to "re-hide" these files? Trust me, he is correct it make a mess. These are folders/files you need, but don't need to see. Help...:o

If you want to see hidden files, just use append the -a argument to ls in the terminal, or ls <filename>/rsrc to see the resource forks.
You really don't need these kinds of apps when unix does this all for you.

I set some preference that now shows all the files that are hidden on my I-Mac. I want to change this back so I don't see them now -- Anyone know how to do this. I can't remember which preferences I changed or where . I've already tried all the obvious places.
Thanks

Have a look at TinkerTool (http://www.bresink.com/osx/0TinkerTool/screenshots.html)...it's a handy little app for accessing hidden preferences. As you can see in that first screenshot on the page I've linked, the first option in the Finder section is a tick box to show or hide hidden files.
Download the app, make sure that option is unchecked, and then click the "Relaunch Finder" button in the lower right corner of the window.
