What Sound Card is used in a Macbook Pro?

I have a Macbook Pro I bought at the end of March and was wondering if it was powerful enough to drive these 64oHm headphones: http://reviews.cnet.com/Sennheiser_HD_280_Pro/4507-6468_7-30235462.html?tag=sub

I currently have these (http://reviews.cnet.com/Sennheiser_HD_485/4505-6468_7-31341506.html?tag=pdtl-list) on order but I dont think I want open backed headphones anymore. Id rather block out as much background noise as I can.

Depends what volumes you listen at. It *should* be alright up to around 75%, I find my earbuds start to ask too much from the MBP at around 90% and then it starts to distort/wail a bit.

My Sony cans run off it up to high enough volumes though, and they're really power hungry...

Id be afraid to use my earbuds(shure e3c) anywhere over half volume. I think Id destroy my ears. But thanks for the help. I think Ill get them. My roommate has two giant speakers and likes to play grateful dead really really loud. I use earbuds right now but not all that comfortable.

Yeah, I was wondering what vid cards Apple uses in their notebooks, especially the MB, do you think they use Creative? Those headphones btw are awesome, i own a pair of over the ear Sennheissers and really love them

i noticed there was no answer. i have the same MacBook and a tip i have is open iTunes and click on windows on the top bar thing. Open Equalizer and then turn the preamp up all the way or raise the bars for extreme loudness and KILLER bass
