I have a 19" LCD monitor connected to my PC. Since I rarely use my PC nowadays, I'd like to connect it to my notebook. My question is: The LCD monitor is not widescreen but my notebook is. Is there anything I have to setup in order to get the correct corresponding resolutions for each screen?

Thanks!

You can choose the correct resolution settings if you go to preferences.

Don't worry about the widescreen...if your notebook supports the res your LCD is putting out then you are good to go.

if you connect it through dvi and it is like my powerbook then the computer automatically reformats the desktop for the given resolution of the display
