Macbook c2d wifi specifications???

I just bought a macbook and I want to ask if the wifi card supports 802.11a

According to Apple's Macbook Developer notes (http://developer.apple.com/documentation/HardwareDrivers/Conceptual/MacBook_0611/Articles/M42ADeveloperNote.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40004860):

"Note: Although the AirPort Extreme module contains 802.11b, 802.11g, and 802.11a radios, Apple supports only 802.11b and 802.11g."

Though, it seems rather odd that they don't support 802.11a... so perhaps it does work...
