Havent you guys got wii play ?

The wii play games are VERY VERY limited.
Duck Hunt is very repteative and shooting ducks is only fleeting.

Its mostly, baloons, skeets, cans & aliens

Wii Play is more for getting people used to the remote.

Tanks at the end of the collection is absolutely useless.

That was very polite of you, my opinion of Wii Play is it sucks and I wish I had purchased the controller without it. Single player is absolutely horrible, 2 player is okay for maybe 1/2 hour.

In play3000 (or some site like that) they are charging just £27 for Wii Play + Controller making it pretty much the same price as the remote alone. I'm still buying it just for the controllers :D

Forget their HARDCORE!!1!!! gamer hyperbole Ja Di ksw. The price is nominal over a controller alone (in Aus it was $AU5 extra at launch). I don't regret it at all and quite enjoy it. The games are very small and short but they are good fun and easily completed. It's a great game to play with others when you've run out of Wiisports stamina. Anyone can pick up the coontroller and understand how to play each game. Pool and laser hockey are pretty cool to bring out the competitive streak, and cow racing always gets people laughing. My wife is in love with the 'find a mii' game and personally I really enjoy the tanks mini-game (both 1 and 2 player). I usually break it out when I just want to sit down and chill to a simple game.

If you take it for what it is - a small collection of well made and easily played mini-games designed to illustrate and familiarise the controller - you won't be dissapointed. Those who are expecting more for their money are kidding themselves. It's an offering aimed squarely at those who aren't enthusiastic gamers, although there is plenty of depth and challenge in some of the games to keep me coming back.

My recommendation is that if you need an extra controller you'd be stupid not to pick it up for the price. If you are spending that kind of cash purely for the game you'd probably be disappointed.

If someone was getting a remote, I'd still say get it.

It's the same price here as the remote on its own.

I do get some guilty pleasure really enjoy the 'where's / count mii' game and the 'mii shapes' game in bubbles.

Tanks is utter cack.
Cow racing is like cow sh*t.
Shooting / duck hunt would be fun if there was more levels more variety and more gameplay.
Billiards is pretty crap
Laser Hockey is ok
Fishing is poor
