Call them now. This is not something you want to wait around. It doesn't take much of a short to ruin a Motherboard/Logicboard or other parts of the laptop.

If you take it to an Apple store, I bet they they will give you a new one right away. Power adapter that is.

So you have the Core Duo MB, I'm sure Apple would gladly repair it for you.

A whole new Macbook? That's nice, processor and RAM bump as well as those defects corrected. Gotta love Apple :)

no not a new computer(i wish:o ) but they are doing a complete repair(casing, and anything else they find wrong) so its just like getting a new computer(without the core2duo) but ya i love their customer support just not the fact that they have mis-shipped two of the repair boxes.(one for address and the other for wrong city) so they re issued another box.. im really getting fed up with that though.

Yeah Apple's support is great except with Hard Drive issues, with Dell all you need to do is call them and tell them your hard drive died and they'll send you a new one (same with Mother Board) Apple will make you take it to a Genius bar or send it in to make sure you have a problem with it.

I had a HD failure on a Dell box of mine. My 160gb drive failed. I phoned them. They sent me a 400gb HD and never asked for the 160gb HD back.

I had a motherboard die, Dell sent me a new one no questions asked. The only part of the computer they would have charged me for is the processor if it died.

Not my experience - Apple shipped me a new hard drive overnight - no problems or issues - I got the new one - shipped the defective one back in the same box - GREAT SERVICE !!!
