No, not unless you want to put Linux on your Nano, but that's a whole other can of worms.

Not to mention pirating movies, which IIRC is a $250,000 fine and 5 years in jail per title.

That's the penalty for pirating a pre-release movie. If the movie's out on VHS or DVD already the penalty goes down. I don't remember to what, though.

You should be fined just for using Li(a)mewire.

You can put iPod linux on your nano and watch movies that way. BUT this is quite complicated and not for noobs and it only works on first generation nanos currently.

I assume even with the hack movies can only be watched on the tiny screen and not output to a dock or cable like the "big" iPod?

The crap Limewire puts you through is punishment enough for using it.

'TOTALLY HIP TRACK'

'Steven Spielberg gets a hilarious prank phone call!'

are the funniest search results ever.

Erm, the same way the rest of us do. iTunes, CDs, other LEGAL means.

This thread makes me wonder what percentage of our youth are actually aware you can buy music online...I recently explained to my brother in law (16) that the iTMS store actually sells music and to stop using Limewire...Funny part is he owns an iPod and uses iTunes for syncing!!!!

just wondering about all those people claiming to have a 60gb iPod full of music...

aehmm....if every song is around 4mb and cost 99cent to download you would spend more than $15.000 at your iTunes store.

I wonder how many people here have spend 15.000 US-Dollars at iTunes:eek:

...you can buy a car for an iPod full of music from iTunes

Ummm, I have these neat little things called Compact Discs, or CDs for short. I've been buying them for years. When I rip them into iTunes, I don't rip them at the piddly 128kbps AAC that the iTunes music store uses. I rip them at 320kbps AAC, which is almost the same as lossless. So you figure my higher bitrate encoded songs take up 2-3x the space of a normal song, and it's very easy to fill up a 60GB iPod with the amount of music I have. I don't get what you're saying. Are you under the impression that the only music you can listen to on an iPod is music bought from iTunes???

It's from spending the last twenty five years buying CDs.

I have 10 GBs in 128 AAC with all but ~250 MBs ripped from CDs that I own (or my sister, or my parents). The 250 includes MP3s of radio shows and demo music from band's websites, etc.
If that was all lossless it would be ~30GBs; about 250 CDs worth of music.
