Anyone played Alone in the Dark?

I just borrowed alone in the dark off a friend and it runs kinda slow on my pc via dosbox.

But it seems interesting given the dated graphics and the irritating creepy creature that jumps out of the window that always killing the character that I cannot shake off LOL
