So what is the actual point of having your wii and your mac connected.

Thanks

If you cant see the point or any valid reason yourself then dont even think about it. If for no possible reason you could ever visualise doing so, then its seriously not a concern. :o

Well, if you don't have a TV in your room, that's a pretty good reason. Plus, they complement each other very well design wise.
(Use eyeTV in game mode to connect your Wii to your Mac, btw)
Also, there is a program floating around somewhere to use your Wii Remote to control the mouse on your Mac. That sounds interesting, if slight impracticle.

I originally wanted to do it for widescreen support on my 30".

I finally came to my senses and jsut bought a LCDTV for my office, I also bought a 14" CRT, because SciFi channel and Adult Swim look like vomit on a HD screen. :)

I originally thought your post was about connecting over the network to each other.

You can send e-mail from your comp to the Wii, but that's it. :)
