View Full Version : Play DVD from HDD

Hello,

ok first off I made a backup of my DVD on my HDD with mac the ripper), I want to watch it on the HDD (so that i dont burn up my superdrive) but I dont know what file i need to open in DVD player. I have 2 formats; BUP, IFO, and VOB. if i cant run it in DVD player (dont know why i would be able to though) what app can i run it in?

Put the whole thing in a folder called VIDEO_TS. You should then be able to open it in DVD Player.

Thanks, I dragged the folder into the dock icon, but it said the format was unsupported...

Anyway thanks!!!! :)

use VLC...go to "file" then "open disc" and then just select the video_ts folder

I second that - VLC is hands down the best video player for your Mac. :cool:

You need to open it from the File Menu "Open DVD Media" and point it to the folder.

Or as the others have said, use VLC.
