Description:: The launch of the iPhone was not the biggest news yesterday. The big story was tucked away towards the end of the Keynote, underlining a shift in which the iPhone only plays the latest part. Apple Computers, Inc became Apple, Inc.

Yet, at the very heart of everything they make, a computer.
Let's hope the dedication to their pro users remains strong
in the computer arena.

That's what I say. Macworld was meant to be MACworld. NOT lets-take-up-half-the-keynote-blabbering-on-about-the-iPhone-that-won't-be released-for-along-time World:rolleyes:

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the iPhone, but Steve could've mentioned SOMETHING about the Mac, or Leopard...

I don't think it's a very big deal. Apple actually dropped the "Computer" from it's name back in 2001 I think it was. But it was only on the official company stuff. Stationary, business cards and the wording was changed on the press releases too to just "Apple" or "Apple Inc". It seems like a big deal since it's more public now, but it's not of much consequence.
