It looks much smaller now that I see it next to a Razr.

Did it.
Holding it in my hand it feels close to the size of a regular iPod... just only slightly larger.

Well, I've only ever seen it in pictures with no scale reference. As far as I could tell, it was bigger than a PSP. The picture of it laying next to a razr makes it much easier to visualize (for me).

I read somewhere that the weight of it is approx. the weight of a fullsize ipod, which is pretty heavy for a cellphone... (I'm not complaining though)

Yes, it is the same weight as an iPod (4.8 ounces). But that's pretty good in comparison to other smartphones...for example, the Treo 750 weights 5.4 ounces.

Nice! I think I'll leave it casually lying around in my car... see how many people doubletake. :)

It is. If you compare the dimensions and weight, it is about a 30GB video iPod but 0.4" longer ( taller ).

on the side there are instructions, This is my favorite line
- feel free to hack/modify/tweak
If it had said
- feel free to hack/modify/tweak/Jailbreak
Then I would have loved it even more!

I remember this thread from 2007, but I clicked on this thread because I thought someone had created a new cut-and-fold for the new iPhone based on specs that are floating around, so its just a but disappointing to see that this is a 4 1/2 yr old thread that someone resurrected with a reply "cool"
