hey guys, quick question
im in the market for a blackbook right now. i've been waiting for the C2D refurbs (bc i need the 120g hard drive) but how much will they possibly come in for?
i can get one for 1400 at school with NO tax, and they have one WITH applecare for 1490 (also no tax)- will i regret scooping this one up this week if the C2D refurbs pop up next week?
what do you think?

well the c2d won't come down in price as much as the cd. Probably 15% off.
do you get a school discount with a refurb discount?

You can't combine education discounts with refurb price reductions.
As long as you do qualify for the education discount, that's about the best
deal your going to get on any of the current C2D models.
At most buying the same model as a refurb might save you another $50.00
over the education discount.

get one now with the educational discount.
agreed! The deal from your school sounds good...better than a refurb deal.

I don't see any listed at the moment but that $200.00 refurb price difference
is most likely on the 32 bit Core Duo ( Yonah ), not the 64 bit Core 2 Duo ( Merom )
U.S. education price for the 2.0 GHz MacBook Core 2 Duo White
starts at $1199.00
Properly equipped with 2 GB RAM and everything else stock $1356.00
The Core 2 Duo MacBook Black starts at $1399.00
The 20" C2D iMac refurbs are listed at $1299.00
While the same model education price is listed for $1399.00
The best deal out there is the 24" iMac C2D Refurb for $1699.00
Education price on the base 24" is $1899.00

Agreed. Blackbook with APP for less than $1500 is a steal. Get it!
