has anyone played the demo? is it any good?

how does it run on yer machine? list your specs please...

Haven't bothered playing the demo since I heard it was very limited and honestly sucked. Still engrossed in AA and will probably buy SH once it's released later this month. According to Aspyr's site, SH is one step from being Shipped. I certainly hope the graphics are somewhat smoother in comparison to AA.

hehe, runs fine on my machine... what pisses me off though, is the fact that they call the "assault rifle" "machine gun..." :mad:

damned, it's the "sturmgewehr '43/'44", the ancestor of all modern assault rifles like the G38, M16 and AK47/74...

the machine gun (MG-34, the "Hitler-saw") is the tripod mounted gun that you can use behind the sandbags at the bridge...

I thought the mounted gun in MOH:AA was the MG-42....

A far better weapon than the MG-34, IMO.

...it should be, but the gun in the game fires too slow to be the 42 model ;)

you wouldn't be able to hear the single shots of the automatic fire if it was a '42 - the only thing you'd hear is a buzz similar to a chainsaw... (something like: "brrrrrrrakk") that's what I suppose where the term "Hitlersaege" (=Hitlersaw) came from.

AA run's not too bad on my 550Mhz TiBook, w/only 16megs VRAM.

Yep.

There is a demo of Spearhead available, but I believe it is multiplayer only.

Also, there was an apparent bug which decreased framerates. The bug was fixed in the final version of Spearhead. Don't be surprised if your FPS are absolutly horrible in the demo, but fine in the actual product.
