At least delivery is sooner than AppleTV which ships Feb. 28 and is scheduled for delivery by Mar. 5.

This seems like just a CYA date for "available in February" and if they get 'em sooner they might ship earlier.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but will it be possible to replace the Airport card in my 17" MacBook Pro with an N card when they come out? I got my MacBook Pro yesterday... Does it have an N card? 😕

Macs are not upgradeable apart from RAM and hard drive. If you are lucky maybe the CPU.

So the Airport card is no longer a removable card near the battery like on my old 12" Powerbook? 😕

They are not soldered down, but are you willing to risk damage to your Mac to dismantle it?

If it's a Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro then I think it has N.

Looking at the iFixIt.com take-apart guides, on the MacBook Pros, it appears to be integrated directly onto the logic board. On the MacBooks, it appears that it can be removed/replaced, but it's not in a user-serviceable area.

It should have an N card in it...Do software update and get the latest airport update.
