Nice find! I wonder if there going to start doing this with all the keynotes? Or just this one since it such a revolutionary product that had years of anticipation. I hope they do it with all of them. (and shrink the size a little). I wonder what the quality will be like. (it's still downloading).

And it's available internationally too! :D

More details: It's a 640x352 unprotected H.264 video, at 1.5 Mb/s. Presumably it'll transfer to an iPod, but I haven't tried this.

You can on the streamed version but just not great quality. Plus it times out every 10 minutes or so. Freakin annoying.

Putting it on iTunes is a good move.

exactly.. even doubling the size was pants..

watching it again in higher quality fullscreen would be better.. one for the late night and kleenex

JOKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the past I've had problems with the Quicktime streams of the keynotes, but this keynote it's worked better than ever for me. I can even "scrub" through the stream in full screen and it's almost like I'm scrubbing through a local video file. I opened the stream probably five times since the keynote and it's worked really good. I'm amazed at how well it's worked. I've always had problems in the past with these streams but not this time. Did they encode it differently or something???

I'm still glad they posted it as a podcast though! Downloading it right now!

My parents have a 12GB 1.5mbps plan, shaped not capped.

Hmm, I'm going up there on Sunday - might have to grab a bit more of that quota while my Dad's away.

Just watched it. Too slow in pace. Hopefully someone will edit the good bits and stick them up on YouTube for the dialer-uppers.

It's only going to take 30min on my regular cable connection. I'll keep it for a little while then trash it.

Wow, the quality is waaay better than the stream. Thanks for the link.

I downloaded it, then iTunes crashed and it disappeared. I've done a Spotlight for all files greater than 1 GB, and it's gone completely

I'm not wasting another 1.2 GB on it!

downloaded it last night...took about an hour. Quality looks decent. Right after downloading it, I burned it to a DVD to make sure it didn't disappear.. I wish apple did this with the rest of their keynotes also, that would be nice!

Awesome find! While I already watched more than half of it, it will be nice to "own it." It will also be quite nice to watch it on my iPod while at the gym. :)

Haha, I take it you have NTL up here in Notts too then! Its lovely seeing downloads of 1meg/second and over. 18 minutes for a 1.21gb download is crazy!! It was only a few years ago where three mp3s would have taken the same time to download!!

Yeah, I noticed that too. I'm subbed. Hopefully we get a widescreen iPod soon and get the 'cast here as well!

Yay!
