Want everything in the dock

I want a very uncluttered look on my desktop and have everything but the Macintosh HD in the dock. I can move the icon to the Dock but an image still stays on the desktop. Anyway to only have the icon in the dock and nothing on the desktop?

In finder's preferences you can deselect the option to show drive icons on the desktop. I think thats what your looking for 🙂

Finder Menu > Preferences, then uncheck the box next to hard drives.

Finder —» preferences —» General and unckeck show hard disks and the like 🙂

EDIT: wow, 3 replies in under a minute! I need to get my typing speed up...

Thanks! I didn't know Finder had a preference file 🙂

There are probably all sorts of other things out there, like the View options. 🙂
