I just got a Moto KRZR for Verizon (currently charging). Does it connect to a Mac, and if so what can I do with it?
[EDIT] I just saw in the manual that the music portion is not compatible with Mac OS.

I personally don't know, but howard forums is the ultimate cell phone hack/sync/etc site. If you can do anything with that phone, howard forums will know how.

Don't know for sure, but I believe Verizon is widely known for crippling their phones stopping them connecting to computers so that you are forced to use their (expensive) download services.

Most people believe this, but it is not really always true. Yes, Verizon attempts to 'cripple' their phones, but many Verizon phones can still be connected pretty easily.

Okay, maybe 'attempts to cripple' would have been a better phrase and no doubt there are workarounds to Verizon's attempts.

If I'm reading this correctly, it looks like you can sync your address book using isync. Hope this helps some. I didn't see anything to get .mp3s or wallpapers, but maybe I just missed it. Good luck.

I found this thread (http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1015267) on the KRZR and Mac on the howard forums. I'm not sure what was even being done, so it doesn't seem worth whatever could go wrong.
[EDIT] Found the same thread as grapes911. Since I probably wouldn't even be using the phone for music, it doesn't seem worth hassling with the iSync code or whatever I would have to do.

It's really not that hard to do. Take a deep breath and you'll be fine (if you want to do it).
This will let you sync your phone and address book.
I'll take the directions and make them step-by-step for you:
1. Go to your Applications folder.
2. Right click on iSync and select 'Show Package Contents'.
3. Select to the following folders in this order:
Contents -> Plugins -> ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice -> Contents -> Plugins -> PhoneModelsSync.phoneplugin -> Contents -> Resources
4. In the Resources folder you will see a file named 'MetaClasses.plist'.
5. Make a back up of that file. (Copy it and paste in on the desktop)
6. Open (in text edit) the 'MetaClasses.plist' from the Resources folder.
7. Add the code from the code block on the howard forums page.
8. Save the file.
9. Open iSync and sync your phone.
