It could be that they had a glut of them when they were fixing all of the initial problems. Now, it is possible that the inventory has dried up a little.

IN any case, check back on Tuesday morning (tomorrow). It is likely that you'll see some more refurbished stuff then.

Also, today was a holiday in the states.

You have to be up really early in the morning when they post new stuff. I will say that they put stuff up at the same time every weekday so keep an eye out. I got frustrated with waiting for a refurb C2D Macbook and just went to the store and got one (student discount). I was still seeing a lot of good deals on the C2D MBPs up until a few days ago when I stopped looking.

A few members have but I personally have not. Someone did mention that the C2D MBs will be coming out this week so let's hope because I have the moo-lah ready :D

I haven't seen C2D MBs on there but people claim there have been. I was going on almost every night for weeks. I was always on within minutes of them posting new stuff...but then again I do have bad luck with these things. I also found that they don't (often?) post on weekends. They usually had a wide variety of C2D MBPs but most of those were usually gone before noontime EST.

Anyway, that's been my experience. I would guess that they'll have quite a few C2D MBs out soon...

Will they put Leopard on refurbs even if it was not installed on the machine originally (assuming it has been released)?

I have been looking at the 15" refurb MBP (planning to buy one in about 1 month) and a 15" CD 2.0 GHz MBP was $1,349, dont remember if there was 512MB RAM or 1GB though. They had been on there almost everyday i looked until about 3 days ago.

The C2D Macbook Pros are there. I saw some on Wednesday morning, and they were gone by 10am pst or so. More came up on Saturday morning, and I snagged one then!:D They again were no longer listed by about 10am.

I only saw the 15", but they had both models available.
$1599 and $1999.

Apple put up a bunch of refurbs but all I see are core duo. They did put up a couple MBP intel core 2 duo today though. 15" and 17" ones.

I would like to know the same.

From what I've seen C2D's are 10-15% faster, and they will run 64 bit programs.
For "real world" uses, there isn't a lot of difference.

lol geez, the MB's are already down to the black one only. Seeing those C2D MBP's makes me optimistic about the possibility of C2D MB's in the future. Is it only Tuesday that they update the refurbished stock? And is it always at 4AM Eastern Time?

I've been watching the US refurb store daily over the past 5 weeks. So far, the appearance/disappearance of C2D MBP's happens weekly, if not bi-weekly (not just restocked on Tuesdays), as does the appearance/disappearance of CD MB's. So far, I haven't seen any evidence that there's any change looming in the way they're stocking the shelves, just more of the same. :(

Of course, they'll have to start stocking them at some point!

I've seen C2D MacBooks on there as early as last month. They must have been snatched up pretty quick though.

Well it is restocked right now but no MBs...I'm assuming they sold out FAST. I hope they didn't have any C2D MBs.. :(

Just out of curiosity... is there any legitimate way to tell whether they have "quite a few" of something in the refurb store versus just one or two? I'm not trying to call you out... but if you know that specifically, how do you know?

I had always thought that one listing was for one product  but correct me if I'm wrong.

I guess no C2D MBs eh? Oh well...I'll have to settle for a new one I guess..

Well I counted about 4 or 5 this morning. That was 6 am pst time though. I noticed now that they don't have any. I saw some white MB and I think 1 black MB. Now they weren't core 2 duo just the core duos. I have not seen any macbook core 2 duos in the refurbished store.

I think the C2D vs. CD MB differences are:

8-10% faster
64-bit capable
DL Superdrive (was single layer)
Larger HDD
More Memory
Pre-N Airport

All of those things added together are enough to make me want to wait for a C2D.

I had always thought that one listing was for one product  but correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh, I understand now... No. One listing is for one product specification -- so you can tell how many different stock configurations they've got (e.g. 1.83 vs. 2.0, black vs. white, etc), but you cannot tell, as far as I know, how many of each they've got. So if they list four different MacBook configs, they might have 4 refurb units available or they might have 75 (in four configs).

I think Apple will be noticing how fast the MacBooks refurbs get snatched up at just under $1000.

Obviously sales of MacBooks in general are very good, but I think they will be trying hard to get prices down as time passes...

I'm just glad I got mine when they were still available! (with free extra RAM to boot.)
