If we buy one of these, does that mean we can download movies anywhere (such as FreeMovieNow or EZMovies) on the iMac, and then watch them on our widescreen tv?

I've never downloaded movies before either, so that's a mystery for us too. :rolleyes:

Or, do we have to purchase movies and tv shows from the iTunes store in order to watch them on the tv with the Apple TV dealie?

It should be able to also play unprotected H.264 and MPEG4 movies, according to the published specs. So if you can use something such as iSquint or VisualHub to convert the movies, you can probably display them on an Apple TV.

crazy question but anybody think apple TV could be used as a dual screen monitor for my mac book? haha, i had to ask....
