Hey you guys/gals, I have an 800mhz 12" iBook G3 I need to get rid of. I bought it because the video randomly worked, and the guy I bought it from had taken it apart and said the contacts of the video chip (where soldered on) were broken. (IE: not the usual g3 mobo problem). He does general test curcuits and other electronics, but didn't want to try to solder the small legs of the chip. I knew I could do it, so I bought it.
Now the problem is that it has been sitting around because I got busy and never fixed it. He was able to press on the palm rest to get the video on the LCD to work (by making the contacts touch), but its an off/on solution. It does however work fine via VGA out (the cable is included). I got it with 10.4 on it but I never set it up, so it still turns on to the setup screen).
It comes with the VGA adapter and a 3rd party (maybe Macally, I can't remember) power supply. Not sure of the RAM, can check if anyone's interested (I think it was 256 or more).
Looking for offers, possible trades. If you want a Sawtooth 350mhz with 256MB/200GB I can make you a good deal on the package. (Using the ST right now as main computer, but would make a package deal so I have money towards a Mini).
Thanks for reading my long post!
