My University uses the Sabon font for letterheads etc. and I would like to use the same in parts of my webpage, but I don't own that font. Does anyone know of one that is very similar that is standard under OS X?

You can see a sample here: http://www.stanford.edu/group/identity/de_typ.html

Thanks.

Nevermind. I should have guessed. WWW is your friend. I found that Garamond if quite close...close enough for me!

Since this is an old thread, I write this mainly for the crowd landing here by google:

A very similar font to Sabon is Savoy. In fact Savoy aims to mimic Sabon very closely. It is however independently created and not a clone, therefore a legitimate font, nothing illegal.

Savoy is created by the German URW++ and can be bought for 17 USD (Sabon: 99 USD at myfonts.com) at fontspring: http://www.fontspring.com/fonts/fontsite/savoy

What I like about it, is that the letters are a bit closer together (tracking/letter spacing) than in Sabon, which has a bit of a “loose” impression.
