First of all I just want to say to edesignuk that your new site is really nice! I'm eagerly awaiting the new Matrix movie here in Norway, and it's only two more days of waiting now. ;)

Here's the address to my website (my band's website actually):

listentrio.net (http://listentrio.net)

The first page is in norwegian, but a link to the english pages appears after the short intro.

Please let me know what you think, and if you encounter any typos just tell me.

Thank you very much! :)

Your site is very nice too, very smart and slick. Did you do the flash work yourself?

I hate to say it, but when people post a "look at what I did", most of the time it's uhmmm, how shall i say, OK at best.

But this Listen Trio website is GREAT. Concise, easy to navigate, easy on the eyes and makes total sense - from beginning to end.

I was never lost or confused, and the fact that the english site is as developed as the norwegian site is an absolute positive. I hate it when people post a website with language variations, I click on an alternate and get a half-ass website or an under construction banner. If it's not ready, don't post it.

BTW, the band sounds great and I downloaded some MP3s.

Very nice and slick - seems you have more than 'tar making talents ;)

Great use of flash.

Good work!

Thank you all! Appreciate the feedback.

edesignuk: The Flash is 100% original. ;) It's really simple and looks more advanced than it is because of some smart details like masking effects and alphas.

I'll have to "internationalize" the guestbook soon. I don't think I want to have two separate, norwegian and english, guestbooks. But norwegians know english, and not the opposite, so therefore I think I'll translate it. But if you want, just write a new message by clicking "Nytt innlegg". ;)

Thank you Zenith for doing your site in English! I like your site also. Which one are you in the pictures? Easy to navigate! Zenith I like your tar, is that an original design? Does it have significance?

That's the 'tar than won him the avatar contest last year (I think it was last year?), if you look at his post count he only has 156 posts, as you know, 500 are required for a 'tar. Part of his prize was being able to use his winning 'tar.

About the 'tar, like edesignuk said, I won the Avatar contest in 2002 and I'm able to use it even with such a low post count. It's an original design, but it isn't related to something. It's just a "thing". ;)

I'm glad you liked the website! But I'm not sure I want to say who I am in the pictures... I'm afraid I could get photoshopped, hehe.

BTW, I already HAVE photoshopped me and the other two..! Take a look:

Photoshopped #1 (http://listentrio.net/img/photoshopped/photoshopped1.jpg)
Photoshopped #2 (http://listentrio.net/img/photoshopped/photoshopped2.jpg)
Photoshopped #3 (http://listentrio.net/img/photoshopped/photoshopped1.jpg)

:D

That is cruel, but good. They look like they have neurfibromatosis, Elephant man. Great facial distortion! :p But in reality it isn't funny if you have the disease, they get criticized and made fun of!

actually that is a really nice site, and I looked through your other sites and the Listen one is probably your best work, it seems as though you used the same little lizard design on two different sites in your portfolio though.

Wow, I'm really blown away by this site; it is incomprehensibly concise. There isn't any, well, fluff with the site.

i am CERTAINLY not a graphic design type, but the whole "less is more" philosophy is something i agree with. i hate it when i've got to read 'war and peace' just to find the link i want. or, the page is frikkin visually busy that i get dizzy. 'fresh and clean'--good stuff.

you should release the flash source to your site. i'm sure a lot of people, including me, could learn a lot by seeing how it was done.

Wow, I didn't expect this kind of response. Thanks a lot! It's great that you like my site so much.

medea: The two lizard-designs is actually done for one company which I have worked at for several years now. So the lizard is just their logo. ;)

I'm glad you liked listentrio.net the most, but I also have three other websites on the way, and those designs will be much more different from the other ones. My portfolio is somewhat outdated now and contains some old sites that need a graphical update.

Thom_Edwards: I'm not quite sure about the source-releasing. I've done it before and discovered that my design were stolen and used on another website... :( It's great when people use it as a source of inspiration, and that's the way it should be used, but it seems like the inspiration, for some people, can influence the actual product a little too much.
