Does the OS X install disc that came with my macbook has a serial key or something if I want to re-format my macbook........sorry im new to mac lol because I don't seem to find the serial key....

No, you don't need a key. Just pop in the disc and go...

I don't understand why the os doesn't have any serial number tho lol...why would people buy them then

so basically the osx disc that came with my macbook c2d are all the same as the other macbook owner's ones....

C2D disks are loaded w/ 10.4.8 while CD are loaded w/ 10.4.7, iirc

OEM discs (like yours) are linked to the specific hardware type. So, yours wouldn't work on an iMac, for example.

Im not and I won't...I purchase my own macbook and I'm very happy with it...
my friend has a coreduo macbook and i'm wondering if he can use my copy of c2d macbook osx since he can't find his discs.....thats why im asking and I wanna make sure if he uses my disc....my osx disc won't be mess up and I can no longer use it for me after....thats why

Please don't ask for that kind of help here. It's against the EULA to use it on more than one machine.
