I have been searching for quite a while now but I still haven't found any mIRC client or something else to connect to IRC's network... anyone know anything?

My thread (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=26012)

There is also a rather lengthy guide to using IRC here (www.irchelp.org/irchelp/text/ircprimer.txt).

xchat aqua is the best free client. youll have to pay for anything else that is good.

xchataqua is the best i've seen, even compared to shareware irc clients. there are others out there, colliquy, akwairc, jediknight, igetter, ircle, snak, even mozilla has a built in irc client, but x-chat has a lot of development behind it and in my opinion, works better in aqua than it does in x11. there are also lots of cool under-the-hood features that you can access (try digging around in ~/.xchat).
