I bought a 30gb iPod which enabled me to both store my music externally, (saving space on my MBP harddrive), and also to have my whole library with me when I needed it. I'm thinking about getting an iPod Shuffle - for my usage, I'd rather be using a shuffle than a full size iPod right now.
My question is this - with both iPods plugged in at the same time, can I transfer songs from the 30gb to the shuffle directly(via iTunes), without having to hold the songs on my MBP hardrive
