Providing a pc based music service like Apple's might give Apple a bit of competition - especially with the name recognition. I wonder if Apple will move to get a PC version out before Napster's return....

Isn't Apple planning to ad the PC version in Fall '03? Apple's iPod should be a great reason to intice more users!

so they're basically going to take a service that failed, and put the name of a fierce competitor on it, and hope it doesn't fail this time? This is not napster, this is just more BS. I doubt they'll get a decent enough system running to sell much of anything.

Hopefully it wont give Apple any competition, and maybe Apple will have itunes for windows out soon!

I think that it would be bad to have Napster attached to your service. Not because it was bad, it was great. All I'm saying is that Napster made a name for itself for stealing and they expect people to come back and PAY this time around? Please. As for Apple, they had now previous service and started fresh legally.

But again I hope that Windows version of iTunes comes out soon...

I see OpenNap vs 'Napster' in a court room soon.... :o

Uh oh...

Can anyone imagine the left-overs of original napster vs pay-napster?

I see it coming people, I see it coming.
