Is it possible to back up and make a copy of the Os X that came with my macbook in case I lose it or scratch it???

no. but you can make a .dmg of your system to restore from.
you can also make another drive bootable with your system on it.

Actually, you can make a backup of the OS X install DVD. It can be done using Disk Utility. Let me know if you want the exact steps.
 
There are two DVDs. The first one is computer-specific and is single layer and can be backed up easily. The second is generic but is double layer. You will need DL media to back that one up.
 
ya please, can you guys post the exact step with Toast or with Disc Utility to backup my os x ....thanks
